African-American Festival - This event is an excellent meeting place for all ethnic groups to exchange cultural and artistic experiences and create a more diversified, tolerant and respectful attitude toward one another. The Festival offers the opportunity for visitors to explore the African and African American culture through vendor exhibits, and high level artistic entertainment in an atmosphere reflecting modern day African Outdoors Marketplaces.

Amish Country Bike Tour - Delaware's annual Amish Country Bike Tour is a large bicycle tour that takes place every September. Enjoy the beautiful Amish countryside on your route of 15, 25, 50, 62 or 100 mile tours.

Chocolate Festival - The Dover Chocolate Festival offers much more than just chocolate. Candy arts and crafts exhibitors, electric train display, gingerbread village, an ice carving contest, and pictures with Santa are only the beginning!

Delaware State Fair - The Delaware State Fair and boasts attendance of over 307,000. As it exists today, the nearly 300 acre fairground encompasses several businesses including The Centre Ice Rink and the Harrington Raceway and Casino. Despite the awesome trend of bringing dynamic entertainers and a thrilling carnival, the Fair maintains its roots in agriculture.

Delmarva Chicken Festival - Featuring Arts & Crafts, Carnival, Home & Trade Show, Antique Car and Tractor Show, Children's Activities, Educational Poultry Displays, Delmarva's Giant Fry Pan, Lots of Food, Musical Entertainment, Baby Chicks, and Chicken Capers (Fun and Games).

Delmarva Folk Festival - Delaware Friends of Folk is a nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering the cause of folk music and folk musicians in our area. We stage coffee houses, concerts, and monthly pick-ins where people gather to play music together.

Dover Days - Celebrate Dover with us! The state capital makes a fuss over its birthday with an old fashioned parade, maypole dancing, walking and house tours, live entertainment, arts and craft booths, and, of course, delicious food.


Dover Fourth of July Celebration - We've got historic exhibits and tours throughout the day, the American Legion parade, hours of musical performances on Legislative Mall, free children's activities, and food and craft vendors. It all leads to an exciting fireworks finish!

Jazz & Blues Festival - The First State BluesFest takes place at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in March. The entire weekend is devoted to fantastic live music performed by popular and emerging performers. Come enjoy the great sounds of trumpets and trombones at this jazzed up fest!

St Patrick's Day Parade - Kiss me- I am Irish! This annual parade takes place in downtown Dover and is sponsored by the Downtown Dover Partnership. The event is free and there is fun for one and all! So don't miss out, join us this year for the St. Patty's Day parade!

Wyoming Peach Festival - Held the first Saturday in August, the festival begins with a parade through town, then downtown transforms as it fills with food and craft vendors. Enjoy live entertainment at the railroad freight platform throughout the day.
