Annual Sacramento Reptile Show - More than 11,000 people and 100 vendors on hand displaying over 3,000 reptiles. Everything from a 9ft alligator to amazing chameleons are on display. We have invited numerous new educators that will be able to offer hands on opportunities and answer all your reptile questions.

Banana Festival - Join us for a weekend full of music, food, art, dance, films, and family fun. Oh, and most important of all- bananas! In addition to celebrating healthy food and healthy lifesytles, we will be celebrating the cultures in Asia, Africa, the Carribbean and the Americas which have used the banana as a source of food, art and tradition.

California State Fair - One of the largest county fairs in North America! Filled with all kinds of exhibits and attractions, carnivals, competitions, concerts, shows, food, horse races, and shops. Fun for the whole family!

California State Home & Garden Show - Isn't it time to take care of your home? This is the place to find the finest craftsmen and home improvement professional all under one roof. Come have fun as you learn money saving ideas for your home and garden. And it is all free!

Chalk It Up - An annual event held Friday through Monday every Labor Day weekend in Fremont Park. Sidewalk squares are sponsored, artists volunteer, and the proceeds benefit arts programs for children. In addition to getting to view artists at work, and their great finished work, there are also bands that play in the park.

Elk Grove Run - The Elk Grove Run is a 10k, 5k, 1/2 and 1/4 mile fun run for the everybody in the family! This event is held every July around Independence Day. This run includes an awards ceremony following the events.

Gold Rush Days - More than 200 tons of dirt is dumped on the streets of Old Sacramento as the annual festival "turns back the clock," transforming Sacramento's historic district into a scene straight out of the 1850s. Costumed re-enactors, Wild West gun fights, musicians playing period instruments, and many aspects of life during the Gold Rush are highlighted during the four-day event.

Greek Food Festival - The Greek Food Festival is put on annually by the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Sacramento. The Festival is held at the Sacramento Convention Center from Friday through Sunday of Labor Day Weekend.


Music Circus - The Music Circus is held in a huge circus tent with numerous shows suitable for the whole family and some popular Broadway musicals.

North Sacramento Chili Cook-Off - The North Sacramento Chili Cook-Off invites you to enjoy a summer evening tasting Chili with all the fixin's! Ice cold beverages available, live music, activities for the kids and more!

Pacific Rim Festival - The Sacramento region reflects the growing diverse Asian Pacific population of California. The Pacific Rim festival honors and celebrates that cultural richness and ethnic diversity. Having people of all ages and backgrounds at the event offers an excellent vehicle for leading businesses to showcase their support for the Asian American community.

Sacamento Art and Wine Festival - The Sacramento Art & Wine Festival takes place on Capitol Mall. Art Vendors show and sell their work, while musicians performed on stage.

Sacramento Bridge to Bridge - Bridge to Bridge is an annual 2 day event on the Sacramento River. People of all ages watch the racing boats from Old Sacramento. Boats race from the Tower Bridge to the "I street" Bridge. Boats are displayed in the streets of Old Sacramento.

Sacrameto Jazz Jubilee - The Sacramento Jazz Festival and Jubilee is a huge event that takes place every Memorial Day weekend. The event includes hundreds of live bands, singers and performers. There's a swing dancing contest, food, and much more!

The Annual Puppet Festival at Fairytale Town - Fairytale Town has delighted millions of guests, inspiring imagination, creativity and literacy since it opened in 1959. Come to the Puppet Art Theater each spring to see the original puppet shows that the kids are sure to love.
