Located
in south central Wisconsin about 3 miles south of Baraboo. There are
29 miles of trails ranging from easy strolls to hiking up steep terrain
and 1.5 miles of trail accessible to people with disabilities. Other
activities include 5 miles of off-road bike trails, two beaches, fishing,
boating, canoeing, kayaking, camping, picnicking and scuba diving. Activities
in the winter include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing
and sledding.
Located
just a few miles east of Superior in extreme northern Wisconsin. There
are a series of waterfalls and rapids along the Amnicon River. There
are several short trails along both sides of the river that offer views
of the falls. Fishing, picnicking and camping are other activities available
here as well as snowshoeing in the winter. There is also a 55-foot long
covered bridge that spans the river at the Lower Falls.
