While waiting for the fireworks show, relax on the lawn and enjoy patriotic sounds by various performers.

Bayou Boogaloo and Cajun Food Festival - Norfolk's annual love-fest with New Orleans' special spirit and unique Bayou culture. This popular 3-day festival delivers the heart and soul of Louisiana to visitors to Town Point Park in true Cajun and Creole style. Three stages of Louisiana entertainment will get your hands clapping, feet stomping and heart pumping!

Norfolk Waterfront Jazz Festival - A great mix of Jazz and Blues Masters turn up the heat on the Downtown Waterfront with smooth and soulful Shows featuring National Recording Artists.


Norfolk Latino Music Festival - The sun goes down, the stars come out, and the largest outdoor dance floor in Hampton Roads heats up with the hottest salsa, meringue, and guaguanco dancing on the East Coast. Live explosive Latin music by local, regional and national recording artist fills Town Point Park. This cultural celebration not only features great music, it also serves up mouth watering Latin food and drink!

The Grand Illumination Parade - The Grand Illumination Parade begins when spectators join in a synchronized community countdown, signaling the illumination of more than 12 miles of lights outlining the downtown Norfolk and Olde Towne Portsmouth skylines. The parade itself is filled with festive lighted floats, marching bands, giant helium balloons, horses, dancers, and of course 'Ole Saint Nick' himself.

Virginia Arts Festival - Since 1997, the Virginia Arts Festival has transformed the cultural scene in southeastern Virginia, presenting great performers from around the world to local audiences and making this historic, recreation-rich region a cultural destination for visitors from across the United States and around the world.

Virginia Children's Festival - Dress in your favorite Halloween Costume and take part in a Costume Parade. A whole day full of activities geared toward Children from 2 to 10, featuring performances of the Scooby Doo Show with Yogi, Jabber Jaw and George Jetson; Halloween stories read by children's favorite Arthur; and your chance to meet Blue of Blue's Clues and sit in her Thinking Chair.
