Africa in April Cultural Awareness Festival - Africa in April emphasizes cultural diversity and ethnicity through music, food, arts and crafts and creative performances. Educational programs examine economics, transportation and African American history while attendees enjoy tasty African treats and cultural performances throughout the festival.

Carnival Memphis - Carnival Memphis, is a series of parties and festivities staged annually since 1931 in Memphis during the month of June. Carnival salutes various aspects of Memphis and its industries, and is reigned over by the current year's secretly selected King, Queen, and Royal Court of Carnival.

Elvis Week - Elvis Week is a festival that attracts die-hard Elvis fans from around the world to see the King’s Memphis hometown. Every year during the week surrounding the anniversary of his death, Memphis celebrates the music and life of Elvis Presley. Everything from Elvis Bingo to a candlelight vigil will keep Elvis fans young and old entertained while celebrating the King’s life in true Memphis form.

Indie Memphis Film Festival - Indie Memphis utilizes Memphis' rich cultural history to serve as a connecting point for Regional Filmmakers from all corners of the country and provides a showcase for Southern filmmaking, specifically highlighting the work of Memphis filmmakers.

World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest - Nearly 100,000 pork aficionados from all over the world gather each year to sample delicious barbeque from Memphis’ and Tennessee’s top vendors. Keep an eye out for costumed grills: anything from fire trucks to pot-bellied stoves can be found competing. For a laugh, check out the Ms. Piggie competition, featuring men donning snouts and tutus.
