Battle of New Orleans Celebration - Re-enactment of the famous 1815 battle at Chalmette National Park which many believe ended the War of 1812. Features military drills, musket firings and cooking demonstrations with period costumes. Held in January.

Bayou Bachanal - The State Farm Bayou Classic is more than just a football game; with its colorful and glorified history, the State Farm Bayou Classic is a unique family fellowship that exists within a football game. The State Farm Bayou Classic has become the greatest and most distinguishable sporting event in all of America.

Bucktown Seafood Festival - If you want some good food and great music, head over to the Bucktown Seafood Festival. Local vendors provide food from gumbo, catfish, boiled shrimp and creamy crawfish bisque to frutti di mare at the St Louis King of France School.

Celebration in the Oaks - A rich tradition is New Orleans' signature, and nowhere is that tradition more evident than during the Christmas season at Celebration in the Oaks. You will take an enchanted journey highlighted by an electrifying light display along City Park Avenue, and the Botanical Garden decked out in its holiday glory.

Destrehan Plantation Fall Festival - Over 175 Artists and Craft Vendors from throughout Louisiana and a nine-state area are on-hand to sell hand crafted items. A variety of wood crafts pottery jewelry clothing dolls and other items will be available throughout the weekend. The Cajun and Creole Food Tent offer an assortment of items to satisfy all. Don't miss this great event!

Go Fourth on the River - New Orleans has often been ranked as one of the top places in the South to celebrate Independence Day. This day tens of thousands flock to town for an action-packed weekend of fireworks, live music and family fun. From noon throughout the night on the Fourth of July, there is live entertainment at a number of stages scattered along theriverfront from the Riverwalk to Woldenberg Park.

Great French Market Tomato Festival - The annual Creole Tomato Festival features cooking demos, tomato samplings, live music, Dutch Alley Artist’s Co-Op outdoor Arts Market, children’s activities, food booths, and more! This is a real treat for all!

Mardi Gras - Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, excitement and one of the biggest holidays in New Orleans! Dressed in purple, green, and gold-the crowds adorned the streets throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching the crowds walk by between parades. New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival - This is a huge yearly event that just about everyone with any appreciate of music celebrates. Jazzfest presents a large array of internationally renowned artistic talents and a showcase of who's who in American Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk, Gospel and everything else talent.

New Year's Eve - Whether your ideal New Years is spent in fancy attire, or comfy blue jeans, with all of your closest friends and relatives, or in a crowd full of new faces, the perfect evening awaits you in New Orleans. Satchmo Summerfest - Satchmo SummerFest features uniquely New Orleans events that take place during the festival weekend. Beginning with the Satchmo Art show, the Satchmo Birthday Party and on Sunday, patrons pack into St. Augustine Church to participate in the heralded Jazz Mass where, upon conclusion, crowds flock into the streets to join in the second-line parade to the festival.
