Baton Rouge Blues Festival - The culmination of the celebration of the Blues in Baton Rouge. See great Blues musical acts. The festival will go on rain or shine so plan for it and don't miss it!

Baton Rouge Jewish Film Festival - This festival highlights Jewish issues, traditions, challenges and characters that resonate with audiences whatever their background or beliefs. In addition, filmmakers and speakers who bring an added dimension to the dramas, documentaries, shorts, and animated films are also presented.

Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival - Nothing is as unique to Cajuns as eating crawfish during festival weekend. You’ll enjoy tasting crawfish prepared in every imaginable way—fried, boiled, in an étouffée, bisque, boudin, pie or jambalaya, and crawdogs, along with other Cajun favorites. Held just outside Baton Rouge in Historic Breaux Bridge.

Father/Daughter Sweetheart Dance - Dads of all ages come together each February to create special memories with their daughters. In celebration of American Heart Month and the month of sweethearts, Baton Rouge General's Foundaton hosts an annual Father-Daughter Sweetheart Dance to benefit patients of the General's Womack Heart Center.

FestForAll Art & Music Festival - Under the direction of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, FestForAll brings together the best of Art and Music Baton Rouge has to offer in this annual two-day event that is sure to inspire all who come. With a great line up of musicians, artists, performances, and plenty for the kids to do, there is a lot to enjoy here!

Festival of Lights - The festival of lights is how the city of Baton Rouge welcomes in the Christmas season. North Boulevard is all dressed up in Christmas lights and there are various activities taking place. Singing of Christmas songs, art displays, a fireworks show, and a parade.

Greater Baton Rouge State Fair - Yearly event with rides, live entertainment and fun for the whole family. Come and see all the exciting attractions, competitions, and more at this great event!


Kite Fest Louisiana - Everyone can "Go Fly A Kite" at this annual event. From home built kites to professional two line kites, we will fill the sky and provide an opportunity for children and adults to learn, fly or watch. Free and open to the public.

Krewe of Jupiter Mardi Gras - With near 20 great handmade floats, bands and all the little details that make Mardi Gras great this is a don't miss.

Krewe of Mutts Dog Parade - Many a dog lover will tell you that the yearly dog parade is the absolute best event for January. You will see hundreds and hundreds of beautiful dogs dressed in their finest Mardi Gras attire along with their human family in tow. It is an unforgettable event and undoubtedly the most family oriented parade of the season and certainly one of the most popular.

Louisiana Book Festival - This great festival is held in one of the most pleasant times to be outdoors in Baton Rouge. Go out and enjoy hundreds of exhibits of writers and shop a variety of crafts and books. There is something here for everyone.

Sugarfest - An annual celebration of the importance of sugar in West Baton Rouge’s history. It includes living history demonstrations, food and mule driven grinding, music, sweets contest and much more. Held at The West Baton Rouge Museum.

The Jambalaya Festival - The festival gets a lot of the quality local bands to come and play for everyone on a big stage they erect. Uniquely they have the Gonzales Recreation center in the center of the festival where you can go inside and enjoy another live act as well as air conditioning.

The Louisiana Renaissance Festival - This is an extremely fun festival if you're looking for something different. Entertainment is endless during your visit. There are forty stage shows everyday including: comedy, juggling, singing pirates, and clowns, just to name a few. Throughout the lanes are strolling minstrels, games, rides and more! One of the most popular events is the joust.
