San Diego Crew Classic - Held annually, the Crew Classic is two days full of boat racing (also known as a regatta). Held at Mission Bay, more than 3400 athletes compete in 92 different races. The Crew Classic is the largest regatta in the world.

Sicilian Festival - A celebration of the cuisine, music, art and culture brought to San Diego by Sicilian immigrants. This event is free to the public and located in San Diego's Little Italy neighborhood.

The Flower Fields - Every year from early March to early May the rolling hills at Carlsband Ranch are turned into a sea of color. Nearly fifty acres of Ranunculus flowers bloom and cover the area. Enjoy a tour as you appreciate one of nature's wonders and the coming of Spring. Also featured are a mini rose garden, a mining activity, a maze of sweet pea blossom, a poinsettia display, an American flag of flowers, and Santa's playground.

U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition - A weekend full of entertainment, food and sandcastle building. Held annually at Imperial Beach.

San Diego Film Festival - A week full of award winning films from all over the world.

Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase - Some of the most iconic cars will be showcased along fifth avenue. This is a free event and happens only once a year.

Fall Back Festival - A children's cultural and historic street faire. Plenty of activities, entertainment and food, takes place in November.

Martin Luther King Day Parade and Festival - Commemorates Martin Luther King Jr. A parade featuring bands and floats is held, followed by a festival with food, vendors, music, entertainment.

Chinese New Year Fair - A two day celebration full of Chinese acrobats, dancers, martial artists, food and vendor booths. There is also a children's activity area.

San Diego Restaurant Week - More than 100 fine restaraunts in San Diego celebrate by giving visitors special dining deals.

Del Mar Antique Show and Sale - Every January, April, and November at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, 100,000 square feet of antiques and collectibles are displayed.

San Diego Brazil Carnival - Features Brazilian dancers, capoeira performances and Brazilian music. Signals the start of the San Diego Mardi Gras season.

Kuumba Fest - San Diego's longest running celebration of African American heritage. Enjoy the four day festival which includes African art, drama, dancing and more.


Mission Federal ArtWalk - San Diego's original fine art festival. Set in the streets of Little Italy.

Del Mar National Horse Show - One of the oldest equestrian competitions in the Western United States. The show attracts more than 1500 horses, ready to show off what they can do as they compete for prizes.

Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade - Held annually on the 6900 blocks of Linda Vista Road, is intended to promote cultural awareness. Enjoy exhibits, food and performances.

Fiesta Cinco de Mayo - Located in the historic Old Town, experience food, entertainment, music and cultural exhibits.

Carlsbad Street Faire - Hosted in May and November, approximately 900 vendors are set up in the beautiful seaside city. Booths selling everything from clothing, household items, to accessories and more. More than 50 booths serving a variety of cuisines and a children's area is set up to entertain even the youngest guests.

Valley Center Western Days - Held every Memorial Day weekend, festivities include a rodeo, pancake breakfast and carnival.

Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook Off - Held in June, enjoy a day on Newport Ave. as you taste samples from the chili cook off or be entertained by live music, thrilling rides and unique vendors.

Greek Festival - Enjoy Greek food, live music and dancing at this annual celebration.

Comic-Con - Held at the San Diego Convention Center each summer, was originally started to showcase comic books, but has grown to include a larger range of pop culture elements.

Adams Avenue Street Fair - One of the largest free street music fairs in California. Over 70 live performances as well as a carnival, craft and food vendors.

Oktoberfest in El Cajon - Hosted the first two weekends of October, taste traditional German food, listen to German music and watch live dancing.

Coronado Speed Festival - A racing event for classic and restored cars. Also features a car show and many vendors.

San Diego Bay Parade of Lights - A spectacular boat parade with a Christmas theme.

Garden of Lights - Held at the San Diego Botanic Garden each December, the garden is transformed into a winter wonderland. Plenty of activities include a horse-drawn-wagon ride, holiday crafts, marshmallow roasting and visits with Santa.
