2nd Saturday Art Walk - Linden Avenue is closed to the traffic and transformed into a street art fair by local artists. Two stages are dedicated to street performances and live music. 2nd Saturday Art Walks hours are from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Admission is free. Local art galleries and retail businesses such as gift shops, boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops stay open until late evening.

Bixby Knolls Dragster Expo and Car Show - Over 150 pre-1975 cars on display. Vintage top fuel dragsters, live music, food, vendors, car art display and historic car films.

Grecian Festival by the Sea - This annual three day festival takes place each September and it offers authentic Greek food, a children's area, a game booth, and plenty of entertainment.

Kahaki Races at Marine Staduim - The spirit of The Islands invades historic Marine Stadium. Clubs and individuals in various classes from throughout California and the western U.S. will compete in six-person, two-person and individual outrigger canoes, rowing on a 500-meter straightaway course. Food, including Hawaiian-style dishes, and beverages will be available.

Long Beach Jazz Festival - A popular event in Southern California, this festival takes place in a great outdoor setting, near a lagoon and offers entertainment by some of the biggest names in jazz. There is also a wide array of displays including art, food and much more.

Long Beach Municipal Band Summer Concert Series - With over 100 years of continuous service to the citizens of Long Beach, each free concert presents the music of America: Classical and pop favorites, extraordinary jazz, movie music, Broadway show tunes, and Big Band salutes. Bring your blanket or low-profile beach chairs, a delicious summer picnic, the kids, the family pet & friends.


Moonlight Movies on the Beach - Alfredo's Beach is proud to bring you free Movies on the Beach. Plenty of free parking and popcorn. A full BBQ dinner menu as well as snacks will be available for purchase. Movies on The Beach start at dusk.

Scottish Festival - The sound of bagpipes and brogues fill the elegant Queen of the Sea, Queen Mary ship and surrounding seaport during the Annual Scottish Festival. One of Southern California’s largest celebrations of Scottish culture includes Highland dancing, bagpipe bands, sheep-herding dogs, Hammer Throw, Putting the Stone and Tossing the Caber among other athletic events.

The Great Sand Sculpture Contest - Live music, Alfredo's famous BBQ, arts and crafts vendors, a kids zone and incredible sand sculptures all help to showcase one of the oldest sand castle contests in the USA. This is a do not miss event.

The Polar Plunge - Polar Runs in California don't take place strictly in the ocean, however. Sometimes they occur in lakes, as well. Such events have become fund-raisings effort for numerous organizations, including the Special Olympics of Southern California.

US Open of Surfing (and Beach Games) - Huntington Beach USA - Welcome you sand lovers! US Open of Surfing & Beach Games isn't just surfing. It's music, sand, limbo, spray on tattoos, freebies, cute guy & girl poster signings and a whole lotta xtreme sports.

Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals - Held at Los Alamitos Race Track, with proceeds to benefit the Seal Beach Animal Care Center. The Wiener Nationals feature all the excitement of Quarter Horse race, with a total of 98 dachshunds strutting their stuff in front of a packed house in Los Alamitos.
