Tuskegee National Forest

Tuskegee National ForestLocated just north of Tuskegee, it is the smallest national forest in the United States. Despite its small size, it offers some of the best hiking, fishing, biking, and wildlife in the southeastern United States. Bartram National Recreation Trail runs through this national forest for about 8 ½ miles. There are 15 miles of horseback riding trails in the northern half of the forest.

Montgomery Zoo

Montgomery Zoo TigersLocated in Montgomery, Alabama. Over 500 animals from five different continents can be seen in their natural, barrier-free habitats. Animal encounter stations bring you closer to the animals. These include a free petting zoo, South American Flight Aviary, feeding the river otters or watch as the elephants are led through training exercises by their trainers. Come see the 2 new Bengal tiger cubs and the rare Indian rhino calf born in 2013.
