April 9 -13 - Ashland Independent Film Festival, Ashland - The Ashland Independent Film Festival is a fun film festival that features a variety of fun, thoughtful films. The film festival takes on a number of different topics in a interesting manner. May 28 - 30 - The Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo, Central Point - Get ready, The Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo is coming to town! Happening at The Expo in Central Point over three evenings. This year's PRCA-sanctioned Rodeo has plenty to offer die-hards including bull riding, saddle-bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, tie-down roping and team roping. June 26-28 - Solwest Fair, La Grande - The Solwest Fair brings together environmentalists from across the Western United States. July 10-12 - Oregon Country Fair, Veneta - The Oregon Country Fair features a variety of interesting entertainment. There will be dancing, music, poetry, activism, and other activities. July 22-26 - Jackson County Fair, Central Point - At the Jackson Country Fair there are lots of unique things to do. Ranging from riding a camel, to meeting a wandering robot or learning about big cats through the big cats exhibit, there will be something to interest each fair goer. July 29 - August 1 - Benton County Fair and Rodeo, Corvallis - A fun event with a variety of entertainment, the Benton County Fair and Rodeo provides a good escape. August 5-8 - Douglas County Fair, Roseburg - With 3 stages, agriculture exhibits, carnival rides and live entertainment, there are lots of things to do at the Douglas County Fair. August 5 - 8 - Tillamook County Fair, Tillamook - There will be an agriculture learning center, horse racing, and an animal sale at the Tillamook County Fair. Beyond these activities, there will be live entertainment, ice cream tasting, and more at the Tillamook County Fair. August 6-9 - Grant County Fair, John Day - The Grant County Fair will have a number of options for things to do. The fair will have a comedy and magic show featuring America's Got Talent participant Hart Keene, as well as several shows for young children and live music. August 28 - September 7 - Oregon State Fair, Salem - Exhibits, products and displays illustrate Oregon's role as one of the nation's major agricultural and recreational states. There are floral gardens, a carnival, big-name entertainment, a horse show and food. September 17 - 20 - Mount Angel Oktoberfest, Mount Angel - The Mount Angel Oktoberfest is one of the larger folk festivals occurring in Oregon every year. At the event individuals are dressed in traditional German garb in what is a celebration of German heritage and culture.
