Lake of the Ozarks State Park

Lake of the Ozarks State ParkLocated in Kaiser in central Missouri. There is something for everyone at Missouri’s largest state park. There are many water activities which include swimming at the two free public beaches, fishing or water skiing. Boats can be rented at the park’s two marinas. Camping is available year round ranging from primitive sites to furnished cabins. There are also hiking trails, equestrian trails and two mountain biking trails. There is even a self-guided aquatic trail on the Grand Glaize Arm of the lake for boaters interested in learning about features along the shoreline. Ozark Caverns is located at the south end of the park and is best known for “Angels’ Showers”, a never ending shower of water that seems to come out of solid rock. Cave tours are available in the summer.

Fantastic Caverns

Fantastic CavernsLocated near Springfield in southwestern Missouri. It is one of more than 6,500 known caves in Missouri but the only one where you take the tour in a jeep-drawn tram. Great for seniors, families with small children and those with physical conditions that make walking difficult. You will see stalactites, cave pearls, flowstone, stalagmites and soda straws. There are special field trips offered for school children and a summer camp.
