Marengo Cave

Marengo CaveLocated in Marengo, IN which is 36 miles west of Louisville, KY. Discovered in 1883, it has been open to the public continuously since then. Privately owned. Two walking tours are available through the cave and can be enjoyed by children and adults of all ages. You can also sift through dirt and rock to find gemstones. Those 10 and older can get wet and muddy and explore an undeveloped part of the cave. Those younger than 10 and those who don’t want to get wet and muddy can make their way through a winding maze called “The Crawl.”

Chain O’Lakes State Park

Chain O’Lakes State ParkLocated in Albion, IN about 30 NW of Fort Wayne, IN. This park is made up of 9 connecting lakes. You can rent a canoe, paddleboat, kayak or rowboat or bring your own boat (electric motor only). Other activities include fishing, hiking, swimming and camping. There is also a one-room schoolhouse that has been converted into a nature center.
