Fitzroy Gardens - Fitzroy Gardens was named after Sir Charles Augustus Fitzroy (1796-1858), Governor of New South Wales (1846-1851) and Governor-General of the Australian Colonies (1851-1855).  The Gardens have a long history of over 150 years, few other capital cities can boast such a significant garden so close to the City's centre. As crown land the City of Melbourne are the custodians to preserve and oversee this magnificent garden, visited by over 2 million local, interstate and international visitors each year, it is one of the major attractions in Melbourne.

Gumbuya Park - Gumbuya Park is an amusement park for the whole family.  Ride one of Australia's longest toboggan slides, race mini cars, ride an aqua bike, play a round of miniature golf or ride a mini bike.  The park also offers BBQ areas as well as a gift shop.

Melbourne Aquarium - The Melbourne Aquarium is unlike anything you've seen before.  You don't so much look at it, as get swept along by it. You'll feel like you're caught in a weird 3-D movie that carries you on a journey over four levels.  A voyage through coral atolls, mangroves swamps, billabongs, rock pools and, finally, right off the deep end into the 2.2 million litre Oceanarium.

Melbourne Docklands - Melbourne Docklands is a waterfront development featuring sporting and entertainment venues, as well as shops and restaurants.

Melbourne Zoo - Melbourne Zoo is Australia's oldest zoo.  More than 350 animal species from Australia and around the world are on view in a 55 acre botanic garden setting.

Melbourne International Flower Show - The Flower show features over 300 exhibits showcased throughout the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens representing horticulture, nursery products, landscape gardening and design, floristry and cut flowers at their very best.

The National Gallery of Victoria - The National Gallery of Victoria is the oldest public art gallery in Australia. Founded in 1861 - only ten years after the colony of Victoria itself - as an appendage to the Public Library in Swanston St, the Museum of Art.

Puffing Billy Railway - Puffing Billy Railway is Australia's Oldest Steam Railway. Australia's unique century-old steam train is still running on its original mountain track in the scenic Dandenong Ranges, spectacular mountain views and cool fern gullies abound along the winding track from Belgrave to Emerald Lake (Lakeside) and Gembrook.

Queen Victoria Market - The Queen Victoria Market is more than just Melbourne's shopping mecca - it is an historic landmark, a tourist attraction and an institution for Melbournians.  Hugging the north-western edge of Melbourne's central business district, the Queen Victoria Market, was officially opened on 21 March 1878.

RAAF Museum - Official site for the Royal Australian Air Force Museum.  The Museum features many  aircrafts and artifacts as well as a shop.

Royal Arcade - The Royal Arcade is the oldest retail arcade in Australia.  Today the Royal Arcade offers a whole range of interesting and delightful stores where shoppers can find a wide variety of items.  You will find famous jewelry stores including antique jewelers, to food, clothing, cosmetics and game stores, and right through to interesting and exotic stores, such as tarot reading and Russian dolls.

Royal Botanic Gardens - Established in 1846, Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens are one of the most magnificent landscaped Gardens in the world. The Gardens stretch over 36 hectares, and are located in South Yarra, only minutes from the city centre. Here you will find Melbourne’s most spectacular scenery, and a superb collection of plants from across Australia and the world.

Sovereign Hill - Go back over a century to Victoria's goldrush days.  Sovereign Hill faithfully depicts Ballarat's first ten years after the discovery of gold in 1851. Witness miners panning for real gold. Main Street bustles with characters dressed in costume of the period. And you can take a ride through the streets in a horse-drawn carriage. There are shops, hotels, schools, a theatre, crafts, steam-driven machinery, working plant and an underground mine, all known to have existed in Ballarat during the 1850s.

Werribee Zoo - Victoria's Open Range Zoo is an open range zoo where animals from the grasslands of Australia, Africa and Asia live in conditions as close as possible to those they encounter in their natural habitats.  Visitors take a 50 minute guided Wildlife Safari, which takes them amongst the animals.
